What is Supervised Visitation

Ensuring Safe and
Supportive Family Visits

Supervised visitation is when a parent spends time with their child with a neutral third person (provider) watching and listening during the visit. There are many reasons that a judge may require supervision. For example, it can be ordered when:
  • There are safety issues, like allegations of domestic violence, child abuse, or child abduction.
  • A parent wants to spend time with a child that they've never had a relationship with or they've been apart from.
  • There are safety concerns because of drug or alcohol use or mental health issues.
What is a Provider?

The Importance of Supervised Visitation Providers

A "provider" is a neutral third person that is ordered by a judge to watch and listen to every visit with the child. The provider is there to make every effort to keep your child safe. The provider must:
  • Be present at all times during the visit.

  • Listen to what is being said.
  • Pay close attention to the child's behavior
  • Report any suspected child abuse
  • Feel comfortable interrupting or ending the visit if they have concerns
There are two types of providers:
  • 1PROFESSIONAL
  • 2NON-PROFESSIONAL
  • A professional provider is a person with protocols and special training that has passed a Live Scan criminal background check. The training includes instructions on specific topics like child development, reporting child abuse and the role of professional providers.
  • Professional providers must be registered with TrustLine, a database of childcare providers that have passed criminal background checks.
  • They are also mandated reporters which means that they must report suspected child abuse to the local child welfare department (CPS).
  • Professional providers charge a fee for their services and must complete and file form FL-324(P) in every case they provide services.
A non-professional is usually a friend or family member who does not have special training. It would be dangerous for your child to be alone with the other parent, this may not be the best option.

Who are we
Hello, I'm Aurelie
As the founder and owner of Growing 2gether Visitation, I am dedicated to helping families navigate the challenges of supervised visitation with professionalism, empathy, and care. Fluent in both French and English, I hold a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and CPR certification, ensuring that every family receives the highest level of service in a safe and supportive environment.

Finding a visitation supervisor who is not only professional and reliable but also truly understands the emotional complexities of these situations can be difficult. This personal understanding is what inspired me to take on this role—providing families with a compassionate, structured, and nurturing space to reconnect.

As a mother and stepmother of four children with hands-on experience working with kids, I deeply appreciate the importance of creating safe, supportive spaces where families can heal and grow together. I have successfully completed specialized training as a certified child visitation supervisor, passed a comprehensive criminal background check, and am a registered member of Trustline.

I know that supervised visitations can be challenging, but at Growing 2gether Visitation, my mission is to ensure that every family feels supported, valued, and given the opportunity to rebuild and strengthen their relationships—because every child deserves a safe, loving connection with their family.
